Who are we?
Richardson’s is an artisan family bakery operating locally in Burford, Oxfordshire. We are an independent bakery who handcraft delicious, certified organic breads as well as savouries, pastries and cakes.
Established in 1958 by Henry and Marietta Richardson, it is currently being run by the third generation of bread baking Richardson's
Grandson James (shown in picture) is determined to expand the bakery's online presence as well as attract old and new customers back into their soace pre-pandemic.
We use only the highest quality, organic ingredients sourced as locally and ethically as possible. In addition to our more traditional bakes, we also offer a range of vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten products.
What is Real Bread?
The Campaign defines Real Bread as made with all-natural ingredients, and without the use of any processing aids, chemical leavening or other additives.
This might sound simple enough (erm, because it is) but sadly something like 95-97% of the loaves sold in Britain fail to reach this ridiculously low bar.
Loaves, rolls, flatbreads, pizza bases and more can all be Real Bread...if the baker chooses.
